Last week my friends and I decided to go shopping in Bochum. My friend Tom is a big Fan of the brand G-Star, so he dragged us to their store there. Before we went in, we saw Magnus Carlsen's face on the shop window. During I was rolling my eyes, because sara started to rhapsodize for this '' Nerd-looking'' boy (that's exactly how she called him :D), I started to wonder who this boy was. He does not look like a typical model.

So there we are!

Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian chess player and grandmaster. Since the beginning of 2010 he transferred, as the youngest player ever, to the FIDE world ranking list. 

So, Who knew? 

G-Star engaged a mastermind as their model. That provides the thesis that Nerds are
 en Vogue right now. 
Spur of the moment, the style of the science student became fashionably capable.

And horn-rimmed specs and trousers at half-mast become more and more popular and are considered to be cute!

Maybe people are getting tired of perfect looking stereotypes.

Maybe they want more personality and imperfection.

Be that as it may!

I find it really amusing watching groups of people dressing the same,

because they don't want to attract attention.

And there are some who exactly want that: striking!

It was a great idea of G-Star. 

I think people like Carlsen are not hyping to much on fashion.

And I like it!

Letzte Woche besuchten meine Freunde und ich die Stadt Bochum.
Da mein Freund Tom ein Fan von G-Star ist, schleppte er uns zunächst in ihr Geschäft dort. 
Bevor wir den Laden betraten, sahen wir das Gesicht von Magnus Carlsen 
auf dem Schaufenster.
Während ich also die Augen rollte, weil meine enzückende Freundin für den ''Nerd-looking Boy'' schwärmte (genauso nannte sie ihn :D), begann ich mich zu fragen 
wer dieser junge Mann wohl sein mag.
Denn er sieht nicht aus wie ein typisches Model.


Magnus Carlsen ist ein norwegischer Schachspieler und Großmeister. Seit Anfang 2010 führt er, als jüngster Spieler aller Zeiten, die FIDE-Weltrangliste.
Wer hätte das gedacht?
G-Star engagiert also einen Superhirn, um für sie zu modeln.
Dies unterstützt geradezu die These, dass Nerds jetzt total in Mode sind.
Ührplötzlich gilt der Look des Wissenschaftlers als modich kompetent!
Und Nerd-Brillen und Hochwasserhosen werden immer beliebter und gelten als süß.
Vielleicht will die Welt mehr Persöhnlichkeit.
Kann auch sein, dass man die Stereotypen im Mode-Business satt hat.
Sei es wie es wolle!
Es amüsiert mich, dass es Gruppen gibt, in denen sich alle Mitglieder ähneln,
um ja nicht aufzufallen.
Andere hingegen wollen genau DAS: 
Anders sein und Aufmerksamkeit erregen!


Ich glaube aber Leuten wir Carlsen ist dieder ganze Hype
um die Mode egal.
Und es war eine gute Idee von G-Star,
so Jemanden an Bord zu holen.

Albino Models: Diandra Forrest and Shaun Ross

Who, except of those who have already heared about Diandra Forrest and Shaun Ross, would think that there are really albino models!

To tell the truth, I've never thaught about it, the happier I am to hear about them.

I've searched for them for a while and the more pictures i saw, the more greater was my admiration.

The 20 Year-old Diandra Forrest was discovered by Shameer Khan and is now signed to Elite.

Shaun Ross (19) started his career in 2008. He has been featured in editorial campaigns for British GQ, Vogue Italia, Paper Magazine and Odyn Vovk.
Both are Afro-Americans and originate in the Bronx.

Salieu Jalloh: New Face in Town!

Der 20 jährige Salieu Jalloh gelang vor fast zwei Jahren eine Blitzkarriere: 2008 begann er als 18-jähriger seine Modelkarriere . Nach erst zwei Monaten lief er auf 7 Fahionshows, gelang in 3 Top-Magazine (Vogue Hommes, Flaunt und Plastic) und machte Shoots für Benettons Herbst/Winter Kollektion 08 mit Superstar-Fotograph David Sims and Top-Stylist Karl Temple.

The 20-year-old Salieu Jalloh started two years ago his Super-carrer:

After only two months he'd done 7 runway shows, shot 3 major magazines (Vogue Hommes, Flaunt and Plastic) and shot the Autumn/Winter 08 campaign for Benetton with superstar photographer David Sims and top stylist Karl Temple. 

Hailey Clouson for '' Burned Rubber Suntan Oil'' by Jason Lee Parry

In der Qvest Zeitschrift wurde ich auf einige Shots von Jason Lee Parry aufmerksam, wobei ein junges Mädchen Model für die Fotographien stand. Es handelte sich um die erst 14-jährige Hailey Clouson, die mit ihrem professionellen Ausdruck eine hamma Karriere startete. Es überrascht, dass man erst auf dem zweiten Blick erkennt, wie jung sie eigentlich ist. Wisse man also nicht wie alt sie ist, könnte man sie in die selbe Gewichtsklasse einordnen mit Models wie Giselle Bündchen oder Georgia Jagger. Währrend also andere Girls noch auf Mom's Couch abhängen, leistet dieses Mädchen eine verdammt gute Arbeit vor der Kamera. Bewundern wir also das Resultat der Bilder und bemerken,'' dass sie zwar noch keine motorisierten Zweiräder bewegen darf, aber sie stehen ihr vor der Kamera von Jason Lee Parry außerordentlich gut!'', Qvest Issue 41.
